After analyzing the lyrics, i have been able to create possible narrative ideas from them. It is important to know the correct meaning for these words as you can manipulate them to fit your need. For example, This song is about how a woman has lost her "spark" and is boring in the bedroom due to growing up. The original music video shows two gangs fighting and then at the end they realize that they were childhood friends. The lyrics allow visuals to inform the audience that the song is about growing up, not about a boring sex life. We will use this to our advantage as we din't need to have over the top performances and it doesn't need to be glamours. Deciding the song with strong lyrics allows for us to be simple as apposed to complicated story lines which is unrealistically going to be portrayed in a 3 minuet video. Over the next couple of weeks, as a group, we will come up with ideas for the narrative and also performance aspect. Using other research tasks, we will come up with suitable clothing, locations and actors who we will use.
